Two postdoc position in ultrafast spectroscopy

Two post-doctoral positions in Ultrafast Spectroscopy at The University of East Anglia

I would be very grateful if you could bring the following posts to the attention of qualified individuals. The closing date for applications is Oct 13. Qualified candidates are welcome to apply for both positions, and full application details are available on the web sites below. The positions are in the ultrafast group of Stephen Meech, which is well funded and equipped with a variety of ultrafast laser sources. Informal queries are welcome at   s.meech@uea.ac.uk.  Apologies for cross posting.

Position 1. Ultrafast fluorescence up-conversion. We are seeking to make a three-year appointment of someone with a PhD in Physical Chemistry, physics or a related discipline. The objective of the project is to design, build and use a sub 100 fs up-conversion spectrometer for UV excitation/emission. Experience in ultrafast laser spectroscopy, nonlinear frequency mixing, instrument design and control and low light level detection will all be viewed positively.  The web site for applications is:

Position 2. Ultrafast Vibrational Dynamics. This is a two-year appointment to work on a recently installed ultrafast Ti:Sapphire amplifier pumping 4 OPAs. The objective is to build a multipurpose pump probe spectrometer for electronic and vibrational dynamics of molecular materials.  We are looking for candidates with experience in on one of more of the following areas: ultrafast nonlinear optics, transient infra-red spectroscopy, transient Raman, instrument development and design.  The web site for applications is:
