Job description

We are looking for someone who wants to strengthen Spectral Solutions sales and service teams as a technical writer. This is a role for those who want to work part-time or having your own business and want to work as a subcontractor. The role involves being responsible for communication on the web and in the news feed, and includes writing and sending out newsletters, to keep the website updated and send out the relevant information such as interviews with clients and to present relevant information on website or in newsletters. Other elements that may be included is to write and adapt application reports and making press releases.

The post holder will deliver basic user training within the EM facility, with the emphasis on introducing new users to electron microscopes and related instruments, as well as providing service work on behalf of researchers under the guidance of senior research support scientists and leading the supervision of our sample preparation laboratory. We will also expect you to adapt and improve on our systems, as well as liaising with the technical support team in maintaining performance levels of the microscopes.

Spectral Solutions work in the field of electron microscopy and this is a role for someone who has a technical or scientific interest, in combination with a communicative side. There is the opportunity to work from home or anywhere were you might be located.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an engineering or science background who wants to work with marketing communication and the web. It is also possible to have a communications background, combined with a technical and scientific interest. Do you have experience of electron microscopy or related techniques, it is an advantage but not a requirement. Very good knowledge in Swedish and English is required as well as good IT skills. As a person you are self-motivated, communicative and want to monitor what is happening in the industry. You thrive in an environment where you are expected to take initiative and are interested in working part-time / part-time.
