You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out three-dimensional electron microscope analysis of basal bodies in the African Trypanosome using transmission electron tomography and serial block face imaging SEM.
- Using various molecular biology techniques to produce and analyse mutant cell lines.
- Working on collaborative projects using transmission electron tomography and serial block face imaging SEM.
You should have:
- a degree in a biological topic
- a PhD in a biological topic
- significant research experience in cell biology
- Research experience in biological imaging and cellular electron tomography.
- An ability and willingness to carry out collaborative research.
Full training can be given for serial block face imaging SEM to an experienced electron microscopist.
