Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research position at the University of Southampton to work on a NERC funded project to develop new high precision oceanographic sensors.

The project is a collaboration between The University of Southampton and the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton. The project will develop in-situ ocean sensors to measure Temperature, Salinity and Dissolved Oxygen.  We wish to appoint a highly motivated person with strong engineering and fabrication skills to develop these sensor systems. The candidate will have a PhD (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline and experience in microfabrication and electronics design. The ability to independently conduct a challenging research activity within a complex research project is essential for this position. The post is funded for 6 months, commencing 1 September 2015.
