You will work with the Brighton Studies of Tissue-mimicry and Aided Regeneration, Brighton Centre for Regenerative Medicine and the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences on a project entitled “Nano Engineering for Cross Tolerance: new approach for bioengineered, vascularised, chimeric islet transplantation in non-immunosuppressed hosts" (NEXT). The project is funded by an EC FP7 grant, which is a result of a pan-European collaboration aiming to develop novel methods for the delivery of insulin-producing cells for the treatment of diabetes.

You will be expected to design and undertake research activities, interpreting data and supervising under and post-graduate students whilst attending both internal and external (overseas) meetings, presenting data at national and international levels and at the project technical meetings.

The post is fixed-term for one year as funding is limited.
