We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Scientist in Molecular Immunology to join Dr Christian Eggeling Nano-Immunology group in the MRC Human Immunology Unit at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine (WIMM).

You will be part of Profressor Eggeling’s Nano-Immunology group within the Radcliffe Department of Medicine, and will be based at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, Oxford. You will be involved in research in molecular immunology, exploiting the usage of advanced fluorescence microscopy (such as super-resolution microscopy) to study nanoscopic molecular changes of the living cell during immunological responses. Specifically your work will comprise the design and setup of advanced microscopy experiments to reveal details of spatial organisation and interaction dynamics of antigen-presenting molecules.

You will have a PhD in biomedical sciences with a strong background in the investigation of antigen-presenting proteins using advanced fluorescence microscopy such as FRAP, FCS, FRET, and/or super-resolution STED microscopy.

This appointment is full-time and fixed-term for 6 months in the first instance. The post is funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences and Medical Research Council.

You will be required to upload a CV and supporting statement as part of your online application.

Only applications made online before 12.00 midday on Wednesday 27 August 2014 will be accepted.
