The TOMI team is located in the School of Physics at NUI Galway, Ireland. Researchers from both university and industry collaborators work together to design, build, and validate compact, low cost OCT systems and their application to a wide range of imaging and biometry problems. The research will also involve making appropriate control software and prototype hardware (electronics and optics) to enable the system be used for routine analytical work. The final aspect of the post will involve undertaking a range of biophysical measurements using this and other systems relevant to target applications such as biometrics, ophthalmology and personal healthcare monitoring.
