We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows to join the group at Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Wuhan, China. The candidates are encouraged to apply for fellowship under the ‘CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI)’.
Our laboratory focuses on the understanding the structure-activity relationship of catalysts as to the development of new heterogeneous catalysts for the production of energy and chemicals. We develop and apply the state-of-art solid state NMR in combination with other spectroscopic techniques to study the catalyst structures and catalytic reaction mechanism at the atomic level. Current projects focusing on the following areas: i) understanding the mechanisms of heterogeneous catalytic reactions; ii) active site design on supported catalysts (zeolites and metal oxides); iii) development of in situ spectroscopic techniques for structure and reaction characterization.
Candidates should hold a recent PhD degree, have strong research background and be extremely hardworking and motivated to pursue top-notch scientific investigation. Background in experimental solid-state NMR would be an advantage, but not required. Experience in characterization of solid catalysts and mechanistic study of catalytic reactions with spectroscopic techniques is a strong plus.
CAS offers an annual salary to postdoctoral researchers to cover living expenses and health insurance in China. Each selected awardee will receive a pre-tax stipend of￥250,000 per year. In addition, the fellowship provides an economy-class round-trip international travel.
Inquiry for more information and applications (including CV, short statement of motivation and contact details of two references) should be sent to: email@example.com
