A two-year postdoctoral position in the field of Computational Biophysics is available in the group of Dr Andrei Pisliakov at the University of Dundee, UK. The successful candidate will use biomolecular simulation methods (MD, QM/MM) to study the functioning mechanisms of membrane proteins. The position will be situated in the Division of Computational Biology in the new Centre for Translational and Interdisciplinary Research.

Applicants must be highly motivated scientists with a passion for understanding fundamental biological systems and processes at the molecular-to-cellular level. They should hold a PhD in computational/theoretical biophysics, chemistry or a related field. Ideal candidates would have prior experience with Linux/Unix, strong scripting skills, and extensive working experience in biomolecular simulations: atomistic or coarse-grained molecular dynamics or quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics. A record of publishing in international peer-reviewed journals is required.
