Postdoctoral position

A postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Physics, University of Warwick, under the supervision of Professor Michael Allen.

You will join the molecular simulation group at Warwick to undertake research into the aggregation of peptides and nanoparticles. This research is directed towards an understanding of the roles that biomolecules play in directing the growth of specific polymorphs of minerals, and in understanding non-classical mechanisms of crystal growth. It will include consideration of preferential binding of biomolecules to specific surfaces, including adaptation to the surface structure, and the formation of precursor phases for crystallization, induced or stabilized by biomolecules. The project is part of a major international collaboration funded as an EPSRC Programme Grant "Hard-soft interfaces: from understanding to engineering".

The deadline for application is Friday 31 May 2013
Interview date: week commencing 17 June 2013
This post will begin 1st October 2013 for two years, with the possibility of extension.
