Post-doctoral Associate Opening at University of Pennsylvania

The University of Pennsylvania
Nano/Bio Interface Center (NBIC)

The Nano/Bio Interface Center (www.nanotech.upenn.edu) has an immediate opening for a post doctoral associate to work in the area of surface and local property analyses of functional nanostructures. The research
involves collaborations between chemistry, physics and material science focused in the interactions of molecules with surfaces, electrodes, and nanoparticles. In particular we are combining scanning tunneling
microscopy with laser excitation to examine photoconduction processes in hybrid nanostructures.

Successful applicants will have PhD in chemistry, physics, materials science or chemical engineering with experience with scanning tunneling microscopy, atomic force microscopy and UHV surface analysis. Experience with self assembled monolayers, and/or functionalized nanoparticles would be beneficial.

The appointments will be for one year, with possible renewal for two subsequent years. Applicants should send a CV and statement of research interests, along with names of 3 references to:

Welcome - about us

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!

Nanopaprika is always looking for new partners, if you have any idea, contact me at editor@nanopaprika.eu
