Start date: as soon as possible

A new ultrafast TEM with pulsed electron beam will be installed at the IPCMS in Strasbourg. The project is part of the French program Equipment of Excellence (EQUIPEX). A postdoc position is available for a candidate who will work on the setup of the microscope and its laser optical periphery. He/she will then carry out experiments with pulsed electron beams. The scientific background is the study of nanosystems at ultrahigh temporal resolution. The candidate should hold a PhD in physics or materials science. He/she should be experienced in TEM. A background in electronics or laser physics would be of advantage but is not mandatory. The position is for two years initially with the perspective of applying for a permanent CNRS position.
