A postdoctoral position is available for an enthusiastic and dedicated Post-doctoral fellow to join our ANR (the French National Research agency) funded research project. The successful candidate will explore the organization of DNA in the bacteriophage capsid during the infection process by using cryo-electron microscopy and Xray diffraction methods. Innovative methods will also be developed to study the DNA encapsidation process inside the bacteria and the packing of newly assembled capsids. Several bacteriophages species will be compared to explore how the confinement modifies the organization of the genetic material inside the capsid and the DNA ejection processes.
