Title: Post-Doctoral Researcher
Employer: Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College
Location: Baton Rouge, LA, United States

The Chemical Engineering Department at Louisiana State University is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to conduct computational catalysis research.  This position is part of the Center for Atomic-Level Catalyst Design, a DOE Energy Frontier Research Center led by LSU.  As part of the Center's objectives, the candidate will work closely with Prof. Ye Xu and in collaboration with various experimental PI's at LSU, to investigate the catalytic properties of nano-structures on complex catalyst supports.  It is expected that this research will lead to the development of novel cluster-based materials for important catalytic studies.  LSU offers a collaborative research environment and features a number of state-of-the-art research facilities.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Physics, Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: One year of related experience; proven background in using first-principles methods to probe molecular transformations and programming experience; substantial experience with basic atomistic and molecular simulation techniques.

An offer of employment is contingent on a satisfactory pre-employment background check. Application deadline is August 2, 2013 or until a candidate is selected. Apply online and view a more detailed ad at: www.lsusystemcareers.lsu.edu. Position # 035739

Welcome - about us

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!

Nanopaprika is always looking for new partners, if you have any idea, contact me at editor@nanopaprika.eu
