We are looking for an enthusiastic Post-Doctoral Research associate with strong dedication to pursuing a career in the field of graphene research. This position will involve fundamental and applied research to investigate the development of new technologies for graphene production, properties of graphene and to study its emerging applications. The appointee will have a broad spectrum of research experience including chemical synthesis, structural and chemical characterisation using techniques such as SEM, TEM, Raman, FTIR, TGA, BET and will work closely with an industry partner on characterisation and development new graphene products and processing technologies. The candidate shall have a PhD in Chemistry, Nanotechnology, or Chemical Engineering and sound experience in nanotechnology and materials engineering research.

Required Experience:
•Strongly required: graphene research, exfoliation, surface modification, graphene characterizations, graphene composites etc
•Desirable: chemical synthesis, electrochemistry, new materials and device development
•Outstanding personal initiative and communication skills
•Strong publication record in international peer-reviewed journals
•High English level

Position Characteristics:
•One year contract that may be renewable for up to 3 years depends of performance
•Salary at Australian Postdoctoral Research Associate Level A
•Starting date, soon as possible.
