my research into new materials development is focused on the synthesis and characterization of novel nanostructured functional oxides thin films and new plasmonic nanocomposites for several high technology applications. Additionally, i have also developed strong entrepreneurial instincts which have not only led to several awards, but have also guided my research to yield devices with commercial potential. A brief highlight of my experience includes:
My greatest strengths match those most necessary for creating a cutting edge multi-disciplinary research in the dynamic of novel nanostructured materials/methods for applied nanotechnology. Straightforward, i plan to pursue research around the theme of novel smart nanostructured thin films materials for industrial applications such as optical lens, filters for military and nanoplasmonics: the physics behind the applications in biomedecine and environmental monitoring.
Comment by Dr.Claudio Gutiérrez on April 18, 2012 at 7:48am Excuse me Dr. Nehru, I was wrong to whom to address my question. I wanted to ask to Dr. Yael Hanein about the profiles that her institute wants from the applicants, because specific areas is not clearly exposed.
Regards.

Thanks!
Comment by L.C.NEHRU on April 17, 2012 at 8:25am My Ph.D thesis is related to synthesis and characterization of metal oxide nanocomposites, which can be used in gas sensor, solar cell, photoconductivity, photoelectric and so many smart device applications. I have acquired adequate experience and expertise in designing, material synthesizing and characterizing of nanocomposite materials and semiconductor nanoparticles and thin films (all gained through the work carried out under various research projects and Ph.D work). Since I am also involved in characterization of materials, I am well versed with different characterization techniques like PXRD, EDX, SEM, HRTEM, Raman, AFM, XPS, UV-VIS-NIR, photoluminescence, IR, Impedence analyzer etc for nanomaterials and thin films.
