Post doc position in AFM characterization of smart materials for sensing applications (BONNOT Karine (ISL))



NS3E, joint CNRS-ISL research laboratory, has a well and established research competence in the field of energetics compounds and nanomaterial synthesis. Since few years we chose to use our skills to extend our research competences to detection, and began to perform challenging researches in this field, working on emerging and promising innovative technologies for sensing applications. In this framework of detection, we have currently an open position for a post doc, for a duration of 12 month, at first. The laboratory is ideally situated in the 3 boarder region, and in the neighborhood of Basel, which is also a very dynamic and challenging area for research in emerging technologies.

We'll appreciate a candidate having strong experience in AFM use, and ideally having a thesis in the field of AFM for the characterization of materials and chemical interaction at solid interface. He/she will have the opportunity to perform research of strong interest in a very chalenging and emerging field.

The post doc position is a one year position, at first, and will began ideally no later than june 2010.
