Application deadline: 1st of May

The department of Inorganic Chemistry of the Fritz-Haber-Institute of the Max-Planck- Society is looking for a Phd student in the field of electron microscopy. The Phd student will work on:

“Structure and activity correlation of catalysts”

The PhD work focuses on the development of special reactors that allow to perfrom catalytic reactions under relevant conditions on a TEM grid as well as on a detailed investigation of the catalysts using all analytical tools provided by modern TEMs.

The PhD student has a master degree in inorganic chemistry or physics and first experience with transmission electron microscopy. Knowledge about heterogeneous catalysis are helpful. Furthermore, the PhD student should speak fluent English, enjoy scientific teamwork as well as puzzling.
