PhD School on TEM, AES and SIMS techniques + Plasma module

In close collaboration with the University of Luxembourg, the Centre de Recherche Public (CRP) - Gabriel Lippmann is about to organize the 9th cycle of its PhD School "Nanoanalysis using finely focused ion and electron beams". This PhD School concentrates on the Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Auger Spectroscopy (AES) and Secondary Ion Mass Spectroscopy (SIMS) techniques, and is organized around both comprehensive theoretical courses and practical sessions on state of the art instruments. This cycle of the PhD school will be organized from November 11th- 15th, 2013. Click here to download the poster for Week 1.

Although the courses and practical sessions are free of charge, the participants need to book the hotel themselves and need to take charge of their travel and accommodation costs. However, a number of grants are available for PhD students who do not have any funding available. Applications to this grant shall be accompanied by a letter of motivation (1 page) and should be sent to phd-school@lippmann.lu.

Further information about the PhD School and the registration procedure can be found on the website www.nanobeams.org.

PhD students, researchers and engineers interested in attending this cycle of the PhD School may pre-register by sending a mail to phd-school@lippmann.lu.
The selection will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of participants is limited to 30.
