Scanning Probe Micrsocopy Techniques (Tapping, Force Modulation, Intermodulation Microscopy), confocal Raman imaging, (E)SEM and XPS will be used to investigate nano- and micromechnical properties at the interface between Epoxy Polymers and Boehmite Nanoparticles. Kinetic (N)IR and rheology studies of curing processes complement the available techniques.

Profile

We are looking for a student holding a diploma or MSc in Polymer Science, Physics or Chemistry. The candidate preferably has some experience with polymers, one of the above mentioned microscopy techniques and programming. Another precondition is a degree which enables to start a PhD at the Technical University of Berlin for Dr. rer. nat. or Dr. ing. (http://www.referat-1a.tu-berlin.de/menue/promotion/parameter/en/).
