An international conference and exhibition covering the latest developments in nanotechnology was announced today.  Nano London will take place from 17th-19th June 2014 at Olympia and brings together industry leaders, academics, commentators, suppliers and sources of funding in the fast growing field of nanotechnology.

The event, which is expected to attract over 3000 visitors and a minimum of 100 exhibitors will be a truly international event offering a combination of exhibitor space, a world class international conference, a funding forum and networking opportunities.

Delegates, including senior decision makers from government bodies, executives from leading organisations and members of the scientific community, will have the opportunity to participate in debates, keynote speeches, presentations and panel discussions on a range of business and technological issues within the sector.

Event Director of Nano London,  Dawn Kime commented; “The exhibition and diverse conference programme will not only demonstrate what is currently happening within the nanotechnology industry, but will also encourage interaction and collaborations to further advance the field, highlighting new opportunities. Nano London is an annual event and we have been encouraged by the support we have had from both government, and the industry, including the leading trade publication, Nano Magazine – our Official Media Partner.”

The field of nanotechnology is varied, with the one unifying principle being the size of the materials involved; everything classified as nanotech is between 1 and 100 nanometres. Sectors involved in the area include medicine, cosmetics, technology and textiles.  According to the European Parliament, products underpinned by nanotechnology are forecast to grow from a global volume of €200 billion in 2009 to €2 trillion by 2015 and account for around 400,000 jobs across the EU*.

Exhibitors at Nano London will include universities, labs, R&D centres, technical service companies and those servicing the industry for example equipment manufacturers and software providers.
