Following the 7th NAMIS school held in 2013 in Seoul (South Korea), It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 8th NAMIS autumn school that will take place for the first time at National Tsing Hua University campus in Hsinchu city, Taiwan. We look forward to meeting PhD students, Post-docs, Youn reserachers and lecturers of NAMIS network from all around the world..
About 19 high level lectures as well as laboratory works will be prepared.
We request to the representatives of each NAMIS laboratory to nominate up to four PhD students, post-docs or young researchers per NAMIS partner. If places are not completely filled, more nominations per partnere will be considered.
Except transportation cost form your home country to tye school, all hotel ans meals will be provided by National Tsing Hua University (NTHU). This may be summarized as follows:
- AIrfare+ travel expenses between athe airport and the school location will be paid by the home laboratory of the attendees.
- NATHI will be in charge of accommosation in Hsinchu from August the 31st evening (check-in) to September the 6th in the moring (check-out).
- Meals (Lunches and dinners) will be provided by NTHU from Monday September the 1st to Friday September the 5th. Accommodation from check-in on August the 31 th to check-out on September the 6th,
- NTHU will be responsible for lectures, practical works and visits.
We also would like to invite up to 8 candidates from NAMIS network to give lectures at this school. Lecturers will be provided the same conditions as participants, and a partial support for travel cost will eventually be provided if budget allows it.

I suggest to include in the school program the topic: a creation of a Knowledge Base of nanomaterials and nanotechnology. Under the Knowledge Base, we mean an information tool, containing all relationships between all variables of nano object, allowing to calculate a value of one variable through others as well as solving both direct and inverse problems, predicting characteristics of nano object which have not been investigated yet as well as predicting a technology parameters that provide the required characteristics of nano object. I could present the methodology and results of the creation of Knowledge Base for the characteristics of nano films of linear-chain carbon (LCC) with embedded into LCC various atoms (as a lecture in the framework of the NAMIS International Autumn School 2014 - “Nano and Micro Systems”.
I invite who are interested in the problem deals with a creation of the Knowledge Base of nanomaterials and nanotechnology to collaborate with me. I believe that the Knowledge base is a future of nanomaterials world.
