Postdoctoral Research Fellowship conduct Institute of Nano Science and Technology   

Eligibility : The applicants should either hold a Ph.D degree in Science or Engineering or should have submitted the Ph.D thesis with strong research interest in Nano Science and Technology, proven research competence corresponding to their equivalent in the best institution of the world and should have a very good academic record. 

Fellowship : The fellowship carries a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs. 35,000/- besides a contingency grant of Rs. 1,00,000/- per annum. The postdoctoral fellowship is for a period of 3 years reviewed annually. Candidates who have submitted the Ph.D thesis but are yet to be awarded the Ph.D degree, if selected, will be paid Rs. 25,000/- per month till the award of the degree.

Age Limit : 40 years

Mode of Selection : The applications will be evaluated by a shortlist committee. Short listed candidates will be called for interview for further assessment by a Selection Committee. Outstation candidates call for interview will be paid 2nd class railways (non-AC)/ bus fare by the shortest route from the present address given in application form subject to production of tickets.

Application should accompany i) one page synopsis of PhD thesis, ii) two-page write up of a suitable research proposal, iii) a brief bio data and iv) self-attested copies of all testimonials. Two hard copies of the application along with relevant testimonials will have to be sent to The Director, Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Phase –X, Sector – 64, Mohali – 160062 (Punjab) and should reach INST through Registered/Speed Post by 14th November, 2014.
