Applications are invited for fully funded PhD studentships in the University of Glasgow Materials and Condensed Matter Physics group. We have a number of projects available for experimental and theoretical research in areas of materials physics, nanotechnology and advanced electron microscopy. Our focus is understanding fundamental properties and processes in hard and soft matter and optimising novel advanced materials for energy, electronic and security applications. Examples of current projects include: * Imaging of high frequency resonance of magnetic domain walls * Atomic structure, chemistry and electronic structure of nanoscale features in ferroelectric materials and heterostructures * Atomistic modelling of the atomic structure and properties of amorphous optical coatings With an...

Welcome - about us

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!

Nanopaprika is always looking for new partners, if you have any idea, contact me at editor@nanopaprika.eu
