Introduction: The College of Engineering at Swansea University invites applications for a 3-year fully-funded PhD studentship. About the project: The Multidisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre (MNC) has a number of EPSRC funded PhD studentships to award in 2012/13. We are looking to recruit students of the highest calibre across a range of activities within the Centre. The Nanoscale Devices and Sensors PhD project can potentially focus on a wide range of research on the development of electrical, mechanical and optical sensors based on nanotechnology. The use of nanowire structures for molecular sensing and monitoring is a particular strength, as is the development of nanotechnology based blood coagulation monitoring systems. Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.
