Within the framework of the FP7 Marie Curie ITN project Organic Bioelectronics, the Laboratory for Colloids, Polyelectrolytes and Interfaces at the Centre of Micro and Nano Sciences and Technologies, University of Rijeka, Croatia, has an open position for an early stage researcher (graduate student). The research topic is in the field of electronically conducting polymer films and will include the preparation and characterization of the functionalized films, as well as measuring and modelling the thermo- and electrodynamic parameters of the ion-to electron processes. Prerequisites are a diploma or masters degree in chemistry, physics, chemical engineering or material science, excellent knowledge of English language, as well as a pronounced enthusiasm for scientific research and capacity for independent work in the laboratory. The candidates should be in the first four years of their research career (full time equivalent) and can be of any nationality, however according to the rules of the Marie Curie ITN action, they should not have resided nor worked in Croatia for more than 12 months during the last 3 years prior to the start of the contract. The implementation of the equal opportunities agenda particularly encourages applications by the female candidates.
