EBSD Symposium and Workshop 2012

Oxford Instruments is pleased to announce that the EBSD Symposium and Workshop 2012, will be held in Wiesbaden Germany 23rd - 24th May. 

This meeting will cater for both experts and new users:

  • Presentations by guest speakers 
  • User presentations (see Call for Papers below)
  • Presentations by Oxford Instruments' Application Scientists
  • Workshop sessions for newcomers and experts
  • A networking opportunity where you can meet users from within the EBSD community, share experiences and to learn more about the capabilities of this versatile technique.
  • A chance to give feedback and discuss your ideas with the EBSD Product Managers and support scientists.

Workshop sessions include:

  • EBSD introduction – what EBSD can do for you
  • Sample Preparation Techniques
  • Basic Processing
  • Advanced Processing
  • 3D EBSD

Call for papers

This is your chance to present!  We encourage you to make a 15 - 20 minute presentation showing the group how you used Oxford Instruments systems to get the results you have.

In the first instance, please register your interest by sending an email to analytical.EBSD@oxinst.com before March 1st. We'll get back to you as quickly as possible.

NB We would be happy to help out in any way.


Who should attend?

  • Experts who want to learn more and network with others
  • Anyone who has recently purchased or is considering an EBSD system from Oxford Instruments
  • Users who would like to meet the the Oxford Instruments EBSD team and hear of the latest developments

Registration price is €200 per delegate, which includes conference notes, meals and refreshments during the day, and the group dinner on the 23rd.
