P12-13 QUANTUM AND DIMENSIONAL EFFECTS IN CARBON NANOMATERIALS

In recent years, our group obtained a number of fundamental results. In particular for the first time was done following:

- measured the low-temperature (2 - 120K) thermal expansion of samples of single-walled carbon nanotubes as a pure and saturated with gaseous impurities

- discovered tunneling rotation of C60 molecules in the crystal lattice of fullerite, saturated with atomic and molecular impurities

-discovered tunneling motion of atoms 4He and 3He in the bundles of carbon nanotubes

-it was found the phenomenon of quantum diffusion of 4He and 3He atoms in the crystal C60

P12-32 Synthesis and characterisation of TiO2/graphene nanocomposite

N.R. Dhineshbabu, is working junior research fellow in KSR College of Technology, India. He is actively involued in chemical production routes for the nanometal oxides and blended with nanofibers. The fesibility of the prepared particles for various applications were studied. He is currently working with TiO2 nanoparticles for textile applications.
