Job description
Managing and marketing of the facilities at the Centre of Microscopy at the National Institute of Chemistry, Ljubljana, Slovenia. Participating and coordinating applications for international research projects and obtaining contracts with leading European and other industries and academia.
Facilities at National Institute of Chemistry (NIC) include new state-of-the-art aberration corrected cold- FEG STEM (JEOL ARM 200 CF) equipped with DualEELS and EDXS, a FEG-SEM (Zeiss Supra 35 VP), two top-end AFM microscopes (Veeco and Bruker) and confocal microscope Leica TCS SP5.
You will facilitate interaction of scientist and researchers with the industry and academia. You will have experience of evaluating research from a commercial perspective, be a team player with excellent project management and time management skills, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to establish a relationship of trust with a wide range of individuals.
Qualifications
You should be a strategic thinker with strong organizational, communication and social skills. You can demonstrate a track record in leadership and have experience in management as well as process optimization and finances. You should be able to work with diverse and interdisciplinary teams of highly qualified professionals. You have a PhD in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field, several years of research experience and a solid technical understanding and experience with electron microscopy and related fields and excellent command in English language.
