The Laboratory of Excellence (Labex) Plas@Par (http://plasapar.upmc.fr) opens 2 Postdoc positions in various domains of plasma physics.

Hosted by Sorbonne University, the LABEX gathers about 130 researchers and teachers in the study of plasmas: natural plasmas, laboratory plasmas generated by high power lasers or by pulsed power electricity devices and cold plasmas with their industrial applications.

The research will be carried out in different teams of Paris and its surroundings.

2 Postdoctoral positions

Position 1:
“Hierarchical three model approach to plasma turbulence in magnetized fusion and space plasmas”, at Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas (www.lpp.fr) in Palaiseau, France.

Position 2:
“Towards a multi-group radiation magnetohydrodynamics code for high energy density plasmas”, Laboratoire d’Etude du Rayonnement de la Matière en Astrophysique (http://lerma.obspm.fr/) in Paris 6, France

We encourage applications from excellent candidates with a diploma/master degree.

The gross salary is about 2800 €/month (2300 € net), in the case of a starting researcher. It includes Social Security and other various charges. Applications of experimented researchers are also welcome.
