REF. 625
The Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser (IESL) of the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH), in the frame of the project ‘SOLAR-NANO: Nanostructured plasmonic reflectors for efficient thin film solar cells’, which is financed by the “Bilateral Cooperation Greece-Germany in Research and Technology 2013-2015” of Greece's General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT), is seeking for two (2) post-doctoral researchers.
Project title: Photon management in thin film solar cells
The project concerns analysis of light harvesting in nanostructured thin film solar cells with the help of surface plasmon polaritons. The study will start with solar cells with randomly textured metallic back reflectors; later other nanostructured surfaces will be tested as back reflectors, and the role of surface plasmon polaritons in the efficiency of the solar cells for various solar cell configurations will be thoroughly investigated.
