We are looking for TWO DOCTORAL STUDENTS at the Institute of Theoretical
and Computational Chemistry, Düsseldorf University:

Both opportunities are offered within a research project for developing
new quantum chemical methods for excitonic coupling. Within the course
of the project, these methods will be used for studying and simulating
complex  molecular and materials functionality in the field of modern
organic photovoltaics and optoelectronic organic materials.

The project is funded by the German National Research Council (DFG) for
a duration of three years with the possibility for extension. The salary
is approx. 25.500 Euro per annum before tax, corresponding to 2/3 "TV-L
EG 13".

We are seeking for highly motivated candidates with a recent MSc in
chemistry, physics, or a related discipline. Applicants should have
strong interests and profound knowledge of quantum chemistry and some
experience with Linux and quantum chemistry software. A good command of
English language is required. Programming skills are very helpful, but
not mandatory at the beginning. Consideration of candidates will start
immediately and continue until the position is filled.
