1st Advanced Summer School - Interrogations at the Biointerface, 20-24 June 2011, Porto, Portugal

We would like to invite you to participate in the 1st Advanced Summer School of the series Interrogations at the Biointerface, which will be held in Porto from the 20th to the 24th of June 2011, to debate aspects that may be shared by cancer and regeneration.

These Schools are a joint initiative of:

INEB / IPATIMUP / IBEC

This will be the first School where the Cancer/Regeneration Interface will be debated at length.

The School will focus on the role played by stem cells and the surround microenvironment in regeneration as well as the role of cancer-initiating cells.

We invite you to bring questions that may contribute to the advancement of knowledge and build up an area of integrative science.

Participants are encouraged to prepare a poster with their most recent data, to be presented at the course poster session. The deadline for Abstract Submission is 4th May 2011.

In hands-on Laboratory Sessions selected participants will have the chance of learning techniques on cancer cell invasion and stem cell-based regeneration.

The School is credited according to the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System).

Invited speakers include:

Ana Paula Pêgo, INEB, Porto, Portugal
Angel Raya, IBEC, Barcelona, Spain
Anita Ignatius, Ulm University, Germany

Welcome

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!
