TENURE TRACK position in Chemical Micro & Nano Devices - Enschede, Netherlands

In physics and chemistry the mesoscopic scale is the length scale at which one can reasonably discuss phenomena or material properties without having to discuss individual atom behaviour. Current research of the Mesoscale Chemical Systems group focuses on the themes Electricity-driven mechanisms for chemical processes, Microfluidic systems for (bio)chemical analysis, and Molecular behaviour in confined spaces. Applications are e.g. in solar-to-fuel conversion, biocatalysis and…

Numerical modelling of the mechanical behaviour of cellulose fibers in a fluid flow - Grenoble, France

The proposed Ph.D. consists in developing a numerical simulation tool to describe the movement of soft fibres (millimetric to nanometric size, aspect ratio 10 to 100) in complex flows (highly confined zones, turbulence). The approach will be based on a coupling between discrete element or molecular dynamics and finite volume methods. The goal is to get an explicit description of elementary processes such as deformation and agglomeration of fibres. This Ph.D. is part of the Tec21 LabEx…

Welcome - about us

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!

Nanopaprika is always looking for new partners, if you have any idea, contact me at editor@nanopaprika.eu
