  • American Scientific Publishers (ASP) - LAUNCHES NEW JOURNAL “ADVANCED CARBON”

ASP has recently launched its new journal called “Advanced Carbon” which is a peer reviewed multidisciplinary international journal publishing original and high-quality articles, short communications, critical reviews, case studies etc, covering a wide range of topics in carbon related science and engineering.

Authors can get the submission guidelines and submit their manuscript at http://www.aspbs.com/ac.htm

    No publication fees.

The authors will be informed on the decision within four (4) weeks after submission, and following acceptance, the article will be published in the journal’s next issue.

Impact factor of this journal is awaited.

    Looking forward to your submission.

  • Hi Dear Sir/ Madam/Friends, I want interpretation for the Differential Scanning Calorimetry study for the Drug loaded biodegradable Nanoparticles. If any body is ready to help please let me know. Thanks in advance
  • How will you prepare monomer of PVA (polyvilyl alcohol) and Polymerize it easily
  • Anyone working on tribology of polymer nanocomposites?
  • Any replies?
Does nanoreinforcement really reduce friction coefficient of polymer composite?
Does nanoreinforcement really shifts Tg of polymer matrix if observed thru DMA? Is the shift substantial
  • Hi everyone.
About the preparation of polymer nanocomposites, some Scientist have a wrong idea about its preparation. It is not as easy as it seems (polymer + nanoparticles = polymer nanocomposite). If you dont get a full dispersion of the nanoparticles or nanostructures into the polymer matrices, all properties of the material decrease.
The full dispersion of nanostrures into polymer matrices depend of many factors as: Particle size, viscosity of the matrix, the nature of the agglomerate, type of nanoparticle, chemical structure of the polymer matrix, dispersion method (liquid or melt). For example, It is more difficult to get a full dipsersion of Carbon nanotubes in a molten polymer than calcium carbonate nanoparticles in a molten polymer, due the CNTs has a stronger interparticle interaction than calcium carbonate nanoparticles. Therefore, ordinary conditions on extrusion process will not be enough to get a full dispersion of CNTs. The use of extrussion process assisted by ultrasound has been a real proof of this.
  • I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
I wanted to work with polymer nanocomposites, but my desires stayed at the theory part. Finished my diploma thesis, hoping it would help me in advance. Really worked hard, translated tones of papers, and had no conditions to do practical part. Lame, dont you think?
Now I am unemployed Chemical Technology engineer.
So things you talk about made me think...we are at the sinking bottom of science
  • Dear prashantha
