  • Nanotoxicology is very emerging field.the safety of a nanomedicine or nanoparticle to human beings depend on a good nanotoxicologist...so be a good nanotoxologist
  • I would like to congratulate you from Bulgaria. I am working in field of nanoscience- nanomatrials and nanotechnology. Recent my presentation in 2009, have been devoted to application of nanoscale materials in molecular and cell biology, nano and biotechnology for cancer research. My request is to participate in a Collaborative Project on these topics,
  • I am working on different nanoparticles toxicity a
  • I am working on goldnanoparticle toxicity and are interested to discuss about this field.
  • Hai members,

I am Balachandran, PhD Research student; Department of Biotechnology, Bharathiar University.
We are working on polymer surfaced silver and gold nanomaterial.
We wish to study the toxicity of the nanomaterials. On interest we are willing for the further discussion.

  • The International Council on Nanotechnology is considering developing a system for rating papers cited within our Virtual Journal of Nano-EHS. The system will provide the Nano-EHS community with a way to recognize papers of outstanding quality in this important, emerging field.

We have prepared a survey that will help us determine which features are most desirable so we can tailor the rating system to meet our users' needs. Based on your past interest in ICON and as a member of our mailing list, we would very much appreciate your taking a few moments to help us design this important new feature by filling out this survey. Once the survey results have been analyzed, we plan to move promptly to implement this feature.

toxicity in nanoparticles

Dear all,              I'm a research student in MKU.I'm working in natural product chemistry.I want to know whether the binding of metal nanoparticles could create toxicity in DNA.If toxicity occurs, can we uncouple the toxicity by binding the nanoparticles and DNA with secondary metabolites.Pls tell about the reference papers and the possible techniques.

do we really need to use surfactant for nanotoxicology study

I am working for my PhD in Nanotoxicology from University of Calcutta. I have a query regarding nanotoxicology study. In many papers i have seen researchers using surfactant to prevent nanomaterials from being aggregated. But is that really needed?? I guess nanomaterials once inside the system would also agglomerate as it has its inherent property to do so under physiological conditions. And moreover if we consider an aquatic environment it would form aggregate there also, so why are we more…

2010 To Be a Busy Year for Regulation of Nanotechnology

On April 15th congressional leaders were busyannouncing legislation to tighten chemical regulatory policy in the U.S.The House of Representatives released a discussion draft of legislationto revise the Toxic Substances Control Act while the Senate released adraft bill to enact changes to the primary chemical control law that hasbeen in effect since 1976. The draft legislation would appear to steeraway from nano-specific regulations but many of the proposed changeswill deeply impact the…
