BOUALLEGUI Younes replied to TINC's discussion NanoRoom for cooperation - find your research partner
"I want to characterize my nanoparticles to do some biological exposure, could someone help me to find a partner because we haven't the appropriate instruments for the desired assays, which are: Zeta potentiel and DLS"

Profile Information

I am...
Biologist, Student
My research field or area of interest innanotechnology
Effect of exposure to cadmium, Chysène (PAHs) and TiO2 nanoparticles on genes expression of MgBD3, lysozyme, catalase and SOD in Mytilus galloprovincialis
The main aim of our work is to study the molecular and cellular immune response level of mussels exposed to different types of contaminants (metals and chemicals) by studying the genes expression controlling some biomarkers (MgBD3 (AMP), lysozyme, catalase and Superoyxde Dismutase).
The study of the genes expression of these biomarkers is performed using RT-PCR,we tried to understand how aquatic species, "react" in an environment polluted by heavy metals,HAPs and nanoparticles by studying some of their responses at the molecular level, face to these stresses, these responses are multiple, simultaneous or cascading, and always complex. We have tried throughout this study to understand the resistance mechanisms in these organisms. We are also committed to reproduce the environmental pollution conditions by using during the bivalve laboratory exposure, the same concentrations of those encountered in the natural study sites.
Interest in...
I'm interested in the problems of pollution affecting aquatic species of economic interest that affect human health meadows, I am preparing a doctoral thesis while following the evolution of immune parameters under the influence of potential pollutants such as nanoparticles and hydrocarbons

Welcome - about us

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!

Nanopaprika is always looking for new partners, if you have any idea, contact me at editor@nanopaprika.eu
