The 4th IEEE International NanoElectronics Conference (INEC) will beheld at Chang Gung University in Tao-Yuan, Taiwan from June 21st to24th, 2011. The conference is sponsored by the IEEE Electron DevicesSociety, the Ministry of Education, the National Science Council,Electronics Devices and Materials Association (EDMA), and National NanoDevice Lab. (NDL), Taiwan, R.O.C.. Chang Gung University currentlyconsists of the College of Medicine, College of Engineering, and Collegeof Management. In taking advantage of Formosa Plastics Group's abundantmanufacturing and medical service resources, Chang Gung University aimsto be a first-rate internationally renowned university that prepareshigh standard professional talents in the fields of medical science,high technology, and knowledge management. The conference venue islocated at Taoyuan city which received international attention becauseof the Shihmen Reservoir, the largest reservoir in the Far East, andmany visitors visit the reservoir. In past few years extensive research on nanomaterials has shown alot of interests and promises for novel applications in electronics,photonics, and biology in near future. To realize the particularapplications in our daily life, it is necessary to search theconnections between nanomaterials and nanodevices. This effort willrequire a multi-disciplinary approach combining research in suitablematerials investigation, processing, modeling, characterization,devices, and system for proper application. Commercialization ofnanotechnology is also effective way to encourage future research. Theaim of this conference is to identify the paths between fundamentalresearch and potential electronic, photonic, and biologicalapplications. The INEC2011 will provide a unique forum for internationalacademics, industries, researchers and students working in the areas ofnanofabrication, nanoelectronics, nanophotonics, nanomedicine, andnanophysics to discuss the new developments, concepts and practices, andto identify future research needs so that nano-researcher can bebrought closer to its immense potential for mankind.
The INEC2011 will feature plenary and invited talks by wellrecognized scientists in nanofabrication, nanoelectronics,nanophotonics, nanomedicine, and nanophysics. The papers of allpaid/registered papers will be included in the IEEE Xplore database andEngineering Index (EI). The full contributed papers will be peerreviewed and published in a special issue.

FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS
Authors are invited to submit their paper(s) electronically via theconference website (
www.inec2011.org.tw) by December 31, 2010. Allpapers should be in a two-page format including figures and tables. Thepaper must be written in English which is the official language of theconference and in the form of PDF file. Please use the template which isavailable from the website. Upon acceptance, authors will be requiredto register and present
their papers. Papers will be published in the conference proceedingsonly if at least one of the authors is officially registered. SELECTEDpapers will also be peer reviewed and published in a special issue ofNanoscale Research Letters and International Journal of Nanotechnology.
