The news of last days of year 2019 has shocked the world by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This widespread pandemic has had serious impacts up to now. Therefore, several attempts have been dedicated to innovate diagnosis devices for early detection of such very fast spreading virus preventing from further harmful impacts. Nanocarbon materials have been always expected to have significant role in sensor applications, in which their ability have been investigated here to detect spike main protease (MPO) of coronavirus. In silico approach has been employed to carefully recognize interacting complex formations of ligand…target systems between types of nanocarbons as ligand and MPO as target. The results indicated that the conical form of nanocarbon (CNC) could work very much better among other nanocarbons for detecting MPO target. As a consequence, the CNC ligand has been proposed as a promising ligand for showing proper function of COVID-19 diagnosis.
