    using brown algae......cool...but how tolerant is algae to nano particles as these nano particles ar harmful to the living cells.May i know in which institute the research is being carried out divya....

    Many seaweeds are classified as red algae (like those used in sushi called nori), classified by their accessory photosynthetic pigments which include phycoerythrin, phycocyanin, and allophycocyanin. Phycoerythrin has been found to quickly absorb silver ions if placed in a solution with silver nitrate (chemisorption).

        hey divya
        i am sri.basically i am physics back student.my aim using nano particles to cure in cancer cell , cancer cell have a magnetic properties .this properties using will destroy in cancer cell because extrinary using nano particles(bio compatibility metal and also magnet properties ) cancer cell destroy. you have any idea share to me

    Hi Divya,
    I have synthesized silver nanoparticles using certain plant extracts, I have used a rather simple chemical approach. What is the type of synthesis you intend to use and what exact mechanism are you talking about?
