Xanofi, Inc Appoints New Board Members

Raleigh, NC, April 19, 2011: Xanofi, a company specializing in producing custom, low-cost, functional nanofibers, announces two new board members to their Board of Directors, Dr. Hal Hopfenberg and Dick Daugherty.

 

Dr.  Hopfenberg will help expand the science team with an independent, expert perspective on technology. Dr. Hopfenberg earned his doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was named the Camille Dreyfus Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University. He also served at Head of the Chemical Engineering Department of NCSU and is currently an emeritus professor.

 

Dick Daugherty provides a wealth and lifetime of business acumen and connections to North Carolina business community. Mr. Daugherty retired from IBM in 1994 after 37 years of service as the Vice President of Worldwide Manufacturing for the PC Company, 22 years of which were spent as the Senior Executive for North Carolina. Mr. Daugherty served as the Executive Director for NC State University Research Corporation, focusing on the development of Centennial Campus from 1995-2001. He has served as trustee on many industry boards including Wachovia Bank, Troxler Electronics and Progress Energy.
