University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia has invited applications from students who are pursuing their three year full time Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical/ Electrical/ Computer Systems Engineering at the University for scholarships. Interested and eligible candidates can apply latest by May 2.

Project title:

Understanding and predicting freezing of gait in Parkinson's disease

This project will take place in the Centre for Health Technologies at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) and the Brain & Mind Research Institute at the University of Sydney.

Eligibility criteria:

In order to be eligible to avail the scholarships, candidates are required to possess Honours 1 or Honours 2A degree in the field of biomedical/ electrical/ computer systems engineering.

Scholarship details:

Candidates will be provided with $ 30,393 annually for a total of three years in order to help the students support heir living expenses while doing the PhD research on the project.

Selection process:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in academics. Their professional experience will be counted. Also, publications and prior research experience will be taken into consideration.
