University of Oxford Nanotechnology Summer School 2014

30 June-4 July 2014

The University of Oxford’s sixth annual Nanotechnology Summer School is currently open for enrolment. The theme of this year’s Nanotechnology Summer School is ‘An Introduction to Bionanotechnology’.

The Summer School is a five-day intensive course that provides a thorough introduction to the exciting and emerging field of bionanotechnology. The course will be valuable to those seeking an introduction to current research and applications in the subject. Each of the five days of the Nanotechnology Summer School has a dedicated theme and is led by key researchers in the field.

  • 30 June: Introduction to Cell Biology and Bionanotechnology
  • 1 July: Introduction to Bioanalytical Techniques
  • 2 July: Applied Genomics and Proteomics
  • 3 July: Nanoparticles, Nanostructures and Biomimetics
  • 4 July: Interaction of Nanomaterials with Biological Systems

It is possible to enrol for individual days or for the whole week. Discounts are available for students and those attending all five days. Enrol soon to avoid disappointment as only a limited number of places are available on this popular Summer School.

The Nanotechnology Summer School is part of the Oxford Postgraduate Programme in Nanotechnology which features a range of short, part-time and online courses for professionals, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Nanotechnology qualification. The Programme is a collaboration between the University of Oxford's Begbroke Science Park and Department for Continuing Education.
