EuroNanoForum 2013 – Meeting place of the nanotech community

In being Europe’s largest nanotechnology and materials conference, this is the ideal place for networking, exhibiting and getting the latest news from research, industry and public instutions.

The Graphene Flagship will sail to EuroNanoForum 2013

The European Commission has chosen Graphene as one of Europe’s first 10-year, 1,000 million euro FET flagships. The mission of the flagship is to take graphene and related layered materials from academic laboratories to society, revolutionise multiple industries and create economic growth and new jobs in Europe.

At the EuroNanoForum 2013 Opening Plenary on Tuesday, the 18th of June, Professor Andrea Ferrari of University Cambridge will present the forthcoming activities, purpose and strategy of the Graphene Flagship. Why is the initiative important in Europe and how can you get involved? In the Wednesday Plenary Tapani Ryhänen, the Head of Nokia Research Laboratories, brings up the industrial point of view – discussing how graphene can morph mobile communications. What is more, in the Closing Plenary on Wednesday the 19th of June, Professor Klaus Müllen of Max-Planck Institute will elaborate on the past, present and the future of commercialisation of graphene.

Have you submitted your abstract?

We are looking forward to receiving even more abstracts for the Call for Best Research Project Award 2013 and Call for Posters. Remember that projects completed under FP5,6,7, NMP, ERC, Marie Curie, FETs or the ERDF, all nano-related are eligible for the Best Research Project Award 2013. Additionally selected projects may be offered a flash presentation at a workshop on the last day. Posters should complement the conference themes to be shown in the 2-day Poster Session.

The deadline for submissions for both calls is March 19th 2013. Submit your abstract now.

Welcome

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!
