Benefit from a splendid opportunity for scientific and personal development as a member of one of our international research teams in a new fundamental research laboratory on clean coal-to-liquids technology and Iron-Based Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis with our partner Synfuels China in Beijing, for a period of 2-3 years. In preparation you may be seconded to a high profile European research laboratory for 6-9 months to further specialize in a particular surface science / microscopy technique. Together with your colleagues you will participate in the scientific leadership training program of Syngaschem in The Netherlands.

| Required: Candidates for Research Positions should have a PhD from a leading laboratory in heterogeneous catalysis or surface science, with experience in experimental surface science, scanning tunneling microscopy, or transmission electron microscopy, and a track record of high-quality publications. Salaries are competitive according to academic standards, and significantly above the postdoc level in The Netherlands. Candidate Technicians should have experience in research with and/or maintenance of ultra-high vacuum equipment.
