The Pharmaceutical Nanoscience group has developed a number of novel drug formulations for the delivery of peptides (ACS Nano, 2013, DOI 10.1021/nn305193d; Molecular Pharmaceutics, 2012, 9: 1665 – 1680) and hydrophobic drugs (Molecular Pharmaceutics, 2012, 9: 14 – 28).  The project is a FP7 funded project, specifically focused on the development of oral delivery of peptide drugs.  The post will suit a person with postgraduate formulation experience acquired either in an industrial or academic setting.


This post is funded for one year in the first instance.

Key Requirements

Applicants should hold a PhD in Drug Formulation/ Drug Delivery/ Pharmaceutics with specific experience in the design and testing of nano-enabled solid oral dosage form based on polymers and colloidal nanosystems.



Experience in peptide formulation, the use of analytical chromatography equipment, invitro and in vivo models will be important.
