A position is available in University College London (UCL) for a research associate to work on an EPSRC consortium project, headed by Professor Jawwad Darr on the development of oxidation catalyst nanoparticles which are industrially relevant, particularly in water oxidation (and related reactions with brine) as part of a collaboration with Queens University Belfast and UK industry. The project will involve high throughput production and rapid testing of a large number of samples and scale-up of optimised nanoparticles in a flow processes and closely liaising with industry and academic partners. The nanomaterials will be manufactured using UCLs suite of continuous reactors (full training will be provided).  The postholder will need to make and test samples and help maintain sample data information and be familiar with lab management systems.

The post is funded for 30 months in the first instance and is available from October 1st 2014.
