This research administration position is tenable at the NanoBiosensors and Bioanalytical Application Group of ICN2 . It is a full - time position with about half of the time dedicated to Group Administration and the other half to Project Technical Management . The applicant will have experience in managing the day - to - day running of a re se arch group heavily involved in Industrial, European and National - level research .
Description
In particular, the applicant would be expected to
Manage the technical aspects of industrial, national and international projects and project meetings. The non - technical tasks will be carried out in liaison with the administrative and secretarial/clerical support teams at ICN2 .
Manage technical reporting with special attention to deadlines, contents and checking for contractual and technical completeness and providing a draft to the head of the group , who will take the responsibility for scientific and technical contents.
Work closely with Prof. Laura Lechuga to prepare documentation for project pre paration and submission in liaison with the ICN2 project manager . Make available specific information on calls for proposals highlighting the relevant information to enable targeted scan - reading and filtering of the irrelevant information.
Cooperation of the applicant in managing and overseeing budgetary functions including (i) purchasing and cost controls of the group, (ii) allocating funds and controlling spending within the policy guidelines set by ICN2 , (iii) managing procurements, transactions and fi nances in liaison with the other departments of the ICN2 (Trip Order Forms, Expenses Claim Form, Timesheets), (iv) reception of reactive materials and other goods necessary for the research group.
Follow up and update of the Group Leader CV (impact factor analysis and dissemination in the media in liaison with the ICN2 Communication Department ).
Follow up the group fellowships applications and labour contracts in liaison with the Human Resources Department.
Management and f ollow - up of all CIBER related a spects of the group.
Group Leader agenda management and travel arrangements, visitor management, group’s members holidays and absences follow - up, website update .
