Postdoctoral Research Position (Québec City, Canada): Surface Science/Heterogeneous Catalysis

A postdoctoral position is open in the group of Peter McBreen in the Department of Chemistry, Université Laval, Québec City, Canada. The objective of the project is to understand how to fine tune olefin metathesis and enantioselective reactions on metal, metal carbide and nanoparticle surfaces. The laboratory is equipped for VT-STM, XPS, HREELS and RAIRS measurements. Previous hands-on experience with surface spectroscopy and particularly UHV-STM is essential. The starting date for the position is flexible but ideally it should be before October 2009. The initial appointment is for one year, renewable for one or two years.
