A postdoctoral position is available in the Biofluids Laboratory in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology: http://biofluids.technion.ac.il

Description: The Technion Biofluids Laboratory focuses on research pertaining to pulmonary respiratory flows and physiology, in relation to (nano)cytotoxicity and the inhalation of aerosols including therapeutics. Specifically, the successful candidate will join a dynamic group that specializes in recreating in vitro “lung-on-chip” platforms that mimic the cellular make-up of the alveolar airway environment. These in vitro platforms are used for cytotoxicity assays as well as inhaled aerosol deposition screening assays.

Candidates with background and experience in microfabrication techniques and microfluidics, combined with cell physiology (e.g., endo/epithelial cells), including immunocytochemistry techniques, live cell imaging and related cell-based assays are highly encouraged to apply.

How to apply: Applicants should have a recent PhD in engineering (e.g., bio-, mechanical, chemical, etc.) or related fields, along with the above mentioned experiences. Interested candidates should send a cover letter highlighting their experience relevant to this position, current curriculum vitae with full publication list, and recommendation letters from at least two (preferably three) referees:
